WHAT TO EXPECT

New to Bethel?

Walking into a new church (even if you have been a life-long Christian) can be very intimidating. This guide is here to help you get a sense of what will happen when you arrive so your visit will be as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Here are the most frequently asked questions about our services.

I don’t know what I believe, am I welcome?

Absolutely! Our services are open to everyone, whether you're a lifelong Christian, new to your faith, or still exploring what you believe. Our mission is to share the healing and wonderful power of Jesus’ forgiveness with all. Join us and experience the love and grace that we cherish.

What kind of music is sung during worship?

We sing a blended style of songs ranging from contemporary worship music to more traditional hymns. The music is led by our worship band each week.

What should I wear if I visit your church?

Wear whatever you think is best for worshipping God. The majority of people dress casually, though you will see some people in business attire or business casual. There is no “Sunday Best” dress code. Come as you are.

Will there be instruction for my child?

Children join us in the beginning of our services for worship. Before the sermon, a children’s video is shown before they’re released to Children’s Church with one of our volunteers, where they will teach them, work on crafts with them and a small snack time.

What do you do during your worship services?

We pray, sing, read scripture, hear from God’s word, and receive the Lord’s supper on a regular basis. Worship at Bethel is non-intimidating and enriching.

Will you ask me to give you any money?

No. You are our guest here at Bethel. We do not ask, nor require you to give us anything. Giving is for those who call Bethel their home, or feel that they want to support the church, the pastor and our ministries.
